If you want to go for a freshwater world record, this is the lake to visit.
There are more than 50 different species to choose from!
Bungsam Lan's catch report shows that an average of 40 to 50 kilos of fish
per angler are caught in a day. Our catch results are much higher than this, and
you should expect to catch well over 100 kilos of fish, and very often much more!

At Par Lai Lake you can target Pacu (a huge Piranha look–alike), Giant Gourami,
Snakeheads, Indo–Pacific Tarpon and massive Striped Catfish,
some of which are well in excess of the current IGFA World record!
These fish give tremendous sport on light– to medium tackle.
All this is enjoyed at the beautiful Par Lai Lake, a location
set inside lush tropical gardens near Chalong, and therefore
only a short journey from most of the popular holiday resorts on Phuket.
Please note that fishing is only allowed at this venue
when you are accompanied by a fishing guide registered with the lake.
