Identification:
Bronze to silver coloured body with red to orange fins.
Dark blotch at the tip of the dorsal fin, and black stripes along each lobe of the tail.
Typical Location:
Near the bottom in rivers, streams, canals and ditches.
Fishing Methods:
Bottom fishing with dough, weed, maggots or earthworm.
Fishing Khao Lak's Comment:
A small but aggressive member of the Barb family that hunts in shoals.
Often found in aquairums.
