Common Snell
Step by Step.
Make this configuration in the line against the hook, threading the eye if you wish. |

Pull the loop over to form a new loop and wrap the shank of the hook and the tag. |
The knot should look like this. |

Continue wrapping the shank until the preferred number of wraps is in place. |
Pull on the top and the bottom line until the knot is formed on the shank. |

If the snell is formed down a little from the eye, a separation from a roughly turned or sharp eye are reduced. |
